I’m going to have to script something like this for an osu! storyboard later. Jeeeeeez.
Well, this is a pretty weird idea that just kinda sorta came to me while I was walking home from the store.
The idea is to make an RPG/MMO thing, where the player is presented with an empty game, so to say.
So basically they would have values for stats to set with the maximum – or default – being 10 for all basic stats at level one. 10 being nothing more than an example here.
From there, lowering one value could let the player set another value higher, just like any other stat system, since these kinds of technical things need to work in the same way for all players.
But the game wouldn’t have any real content other than numbers and a basic design from the beginning; It’s up to the player to bring their own part of the game further than that, by defining what everything is.
There should be an option to change the general look of things, by allowing users to create their own stylesheets, and of course upload any pictures that may be needed for their particular game.
Of course there would need to be various things to keep it all together, as such a thing would otherwise become really chaotic and stuff.
TL;DR:
Want the setting to be a medieval vampires vs. werewolves kind of thing ?
Okay, you can.
Want it to be a futuristic world based on SCIENCE ?
Sure !
Or maybe a player just has a fetish for looking at those ever so sexy numbers they have from the beginning ?
That can be done too.
Perhaps you’d want your character to be a hobo with no kind of skill whose only option in life is to beg for people to give him money ?
Anything goes.
Okay, so here’s a quick guide on how to get mIRC + NoNameScript up and running.
Here’s what you need to download: http://www.nnscript.com/index.php?section=download
Just follow the instructions on that site to install it, it shouldn’t be too hard.
.
So after starting the client…
You’ll be met with mIRC’s options menu.
.
Full Name: this will be visible to anyone and everyone who does a /whois on your nickname. For more information on what that is, read below.
Email Address: This will be your username for an optional bouncer, which is a type of server that will let you stay online at all times. This is not necessary at all, but it lets you receive PMs when you’re logged off, so you get them when you log on, but enough about that.
Nickname: obvious, this is what your nickname on IRC will be.
Alternative: alternative nickname in case your preferred name is taken.
Invisible mode: I’m… Not sure what this does, since I’ve never actually disabled it.
.
Now then, NNScript has themes and stuff. To find these, go to NNScript (top menu bar) -> Themes -> Theme setup…
This will let you pick the theme of your choice, and should you feel the need to, change it to your liking. I know some of the people I’m writing this for won’t like the default font size, so when you’re in the theme setup menu and have found the theme of your choice, go to “Edit theme” -> “Font” -> “FontSize”, and pick a size you like.
Of course, there’s a lot of other things you can set here, so I suggest you look around in this menu on your own. Everything has descriptions, so it shouldn’t be hard to understand what you’re doing.
.
Now, for joining places !
The easiest way (in my opinion), is to use commands.
To join a server, type in the following:
/server irc.server.url
Then, to join a channel, you need to type…
/j #channel OR /join #channel
.
However, the # symbol is optional in this client, because if you don’t put it, mIRC will put it there for you.
I believe this is enough for anyone to start up with.
So I got a touchscreen a few days ago, and it works better for osu! than expected, even though multitouch support still isn’t very good.
Well, I updated the frontpage a bit today.
I’m probably not finished doing that as I’m typing this, but whatever. It looks better now than it did before. \o/

So, I got this new PDA phone, Sony Ericsson Xperia X2.
Truth to be told, it is better than my old HTC TyTN in every possible way, even though they both run the same version of Windows Mobile.
It’s way faster, the screen is a lot brighter, the resolution is larger (480×800), too.
Though that is probably to be expected, it costing around ~4200 DKK and being a rather new model, after all.
Also, 528 Mhz CPU > 400Mhz CPU. Srsly, it’s way faster. Also, 256MB RAM > 128MB RAM.
First post, lol.
